Event Details
Join us for 5 days of holistic exploration of your child's physical, sensory, and socio-emotional needs.
βDays 1-4 will involve the daily practice of mindfulness, yoga, and aerial play (conducted in English) in the mornings, and special activities in the afternoon exploring 4 different destinations along the Silk Road (conducted in English and Mandarin).
The final day of the camp will be a day of adventurous treasure hunting around the Asian Civilisations Museum.
π Explore the unique and intriguing nation of China, with its rich history spanning thousands of years. Your child will discover its deep cultural heritage, from the Great Wall to its ancient traditions, while also learning about Tai Chi β a graceful martial art that reflects balance, mindfulness, and harmony, much like the Chinese characters that beautifully convey both meaning and artistry.
π Discover the vibrant culture of India, a land of colourful festivals, rich traditions, and expressive dance forms like the Bharatanatyam and Bhangra. Known as the birthplace of yoga, we will explore India's deep-rooted history, spirituality, and artistic heritage, while also learning about its diverse languages, such as Hindi and Sanskrit.
π Explore the wonders of Egypt, a land of ancient pyramids, pharaohs, and captivating history. Discover its role in the famous Silk Road trade, while also learning about traditional dance forms like the Tanoura, which reflect the country's rich culture and history that spans thousands of years.
π Experience the culture of Spain through mindful movements and fun play! Connect with its rich traditions by practicing calming yoga-inspired poses and learning Flamenco hand claps and steps, all while enjoying playful activities that bring Spanish art, music, and language to life.
π The final day marks the highlight of our exciting quest with a treasure hunt around the Asian Civilisations Museum. Using clues that spark their curiosity and problem-solving skills, your child will explore maps, puzzles, and hidden secrets while learning the fascinating story of trade and the Maritime Silk Route.
Main Camp Activities
π«° Grounding - Recognizing the importance of safety in choices, embracing risks as opportunities for growth, understanding the balance of freedom and responsibility, fostering your child's growth mindset by emphasizing the power of 'yet,' and encouraging self-motivation through goal-setting and celebrating progress.
π«° Intention Setting & Self-Reflection - Through these mindfulness practices, we empower your child to understand, be aware of, and process both pleasant and unpleasant emotions, feelings and thoughts. With practice, it will help them articulate their experiences and cultivate the actionable steps to achieve their goals.
π«° Mindful Movement & Yoga - Fun and engaging activities and games that support your child in developing body awareness, strength, coordination, balance, and control. This helps them connect with their bodies while fostering a sense of playfulness and joy as they learn to understand their bodyβs need for strength and length to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
π«° Aerial Yoga - Beneficial for your child as it encourages them to swing, flip, and go upside down with the aerial hammock, helping to build strength, flexibility, and balance while also promoting body awareness, boosting confidence, and providing a playful way to relieve stress and enhance focus.
π«° Mindful Eating - Teaches your child to be conscious of taking only what they need, eating without external distractions like gadgets, and taking responsibility for cleaning up. This fosters healthier eating habits, enhancing their ability to listen to their bodies, and encouraging respect for food while promoting focus and gratitude.
π«° Treasure Hunt - Your child will learn skills like problem-solving, teamwork, navigation, observation, following directions, creativity, perseverance, goal setting, cultural awareness, and the importance of physical activity while having fun exploring the surroundings around the Asian Civilisations Museum.
π«° A Mindful Quest - Explore the rich histories of China, India, Egypt, and Spain (conducted in both English and Mandarin) discovering cultural connections, and engaging in activities that promote awareness and appreciation of the diverse cultures linked by ancient Silk Road trade route.

Objectives
Promote body, spatial and proprioceptive awareness in your child to help build overall body awareness through different movements and social settings.
πͺπΌ Body awareness is being aware of all the body parts, how they are moving, and where they are located in space. This knowledge for adults and older children is basically unconscious, travelling between the brain and spinal cord.
πͺπΌ Spatial awareness is the ability to understand the bodyβs position in relation to the surroundings. It can have an impact on everything from picking up a book to navigating social settings.
πͺπΌ Proprioceptive awareness is the bodyβs ability to sense its location, movements, and actions. Proprioception, also called kinesthesia, is the reason weβre able to move freely without consciously thinking about our environment.
πͺπΌ Social awareness is the ability to read, hold and respect social cues and boundaries with empathy. Understanding how oneβs actions can create collective influence on others and the surrounding.
πͺπΌ Emotion regulation is the ability to be aware, acknowledge, accept and respond with helpful actions within oneβs area of control. Conscious choice on what to respond and what to let go.
What Will Your Child Learn In This Camp?

β Learn through different movement & sensorial activities (senses of sight, touch, hearing, taste and smell) to stimulate the proprioceptive and vestibular systems which are responsible for balance, movement, and direction.
Social Skillsβ
β Read social cues and be open to discuss about emotions, feelings and thoughts both pleasant and unpleasant.
β Hold their boundaries while also respecting othersβ boundaries.
β Focus on themselves while holding space for others to learn.
Emotional Regulationβ
