Join us on April 11 for a Rochester Silent Disco event in the RMSC Strasenburgh Planetarium.This event recognizes the annual giant space party celebrated around the world! April 12 marks the anniversary of when Yuri Gagarin, the first human who ventured into space, completed an orbit around earth aboard the Vostok 1 capsule on April 12, 1961. Twenty years later on April 12, 1981, the inaugural launch of the first Space Shuttle occurred.
Celebrate with us and other organizations worldwide to commemorate Yuri’s flight and subsequent global advancements in space exploration.
