Silent Book Club - Reading

This is the inaugral 'Silent Book Club' in Reading, Berkshire.

How exciting!

The Silent Book Club is a growing movement in the UK which orginated in the United States when two friends sat and read quietly with one another, felt good about it and spread the word. Check this out: https://silentbook.club/pages/about-us

The idea is really simple. And it's free.

A) You bring your book to The Dog House https://www.tcnuk.co.uk/dog-house on the last Thursday of each month (27th is our first of six events planned in).

B) Grab yourself a drink and park yourself in a comfy chair.

C) Spend an hour getting lost in your book

D) Choose to make your way home or hang around for a chat with the fellow readers (about half an hour).

Different to your typical book club, there is no assigned book, you can read what you want. And, you've guessed it, you are welcome to bring your ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks or comic books.

This is a trial - I'm keen on bringing people together in a different way in Reading.
