About this Event

Silence Your Inner Critic: A meditation workshop
Saturday, March 22 - 10:00am to 12:30pm
In today’s culture of social comparison, it's common to become excessively self-critical, which undermines self-confidence and causes feelings of confusion and discouragement. Listening to and believing in the inner critic wreaks untold havoc: it damages relationships, impairs the ability to make spiritual progress, and prevents the realization of your full human potential.
Buddha taught practical and inspiring techniques for letting go of these old patterns and ways of thinking. By applying these methods, you tap into the intelligence that recognizes your own limitless capacity for courage, kindness and wisdom.
Meditations will be guided and light refreshments will be available during the break. This retreat is perfect for beginners and experienced meditators. Everyone is welcome.
Location: This event will be held at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston, located at 2298 Massachusetts Ave. in Cambridge, just a few blocks from the Davis Square T stop. There is free parking available, please email us at [email protected]
Registration: $30. At the door, in advance at: https://www.meditationinboston.org/silence-your-inner-critic

Leela Dodda was born in India. After completing his doctoral studies at Yale, he established himself as a drug discovery scientist in Boston, where he works to develop breakthrough therapies that can transform patients' lives. This dedication to alleviating suffering through science naturally complements Leela's deep interest in Buddhist philosophy. His unique perspective, combining rigorous scientific inquiry with contemplative wisdom, drives him to pursue a twofold mission: advancing medical treatments while sharing insights about achieving lasting happiness.
