Silas Gomes is a Brazilian pianist, arranger, and composer with a long career in the jazz and contemporary instrumental music scene, performing at various jazz festivals and concerts, as well as accompanying several artists in performances and studio recordings.Currently residing in Norway, he develops various projects in the instrumental music scene, in the areas of jazz, Afro-jazz, and big band, with influences from the roots of Brazilian jazz and world jazz.
Silas Gomes released his EP in February 2025 and, in this show, will present some of his recently released original compositions, as well as some compositions by Maestro Letières Leite.
His trio is composed of the incredible musicians Carlos Sanches on bass and Simen Amundrud on drums, two wonderful musicians who have also been active in the jazz scene for years with various projects. Welcome to this concert.
