Silas Gomes is a Brazilian pianist, arranger and composer who has been active in the jazz and contemporary jazz instrumental music scene for several years, performing at various jazz festivals and concerts, as well as accompanying various artists and working on studio recording sessions.
Currently living in Norway, he has been developing several projects in the instrumental music scene, in the areas of jazz, afro jazz, with influences from the roots of Brazilian and world jazz.
Silas Gomes is releasing his EP, and in this show Silas Gomes will be playing some of his recently released original compositions, as well as some compositions by Maestro Letieres Leite.
His trio is composed of the incredible musicians Lasse Gjestrud on bass, and Simen Amundrud on drums, two wonderful musicians who have also been active in the jazz scene over the years with various projects. Welcome to this concert.
