Signs of Fascism Visibility Event
History teaches us that democratic societies don't disappear overnight. They erode gradually through attacks on democratic institutions, the rule of law, the free press, voting rights, and the targeting of vulnerable communities.
Many of the warning signs historians have identified are unfolding in the United States today.
Join Savannah Indivisible for a peaceful visibility event as we raise awareness about these warning signs and encourage our community to stay informed, engaged, and committed to protecting our democracy.
We'll gather at the busy intersection of Victory Drive and Skidaway Road with signs highlighting the historical characteristics of fascism and authoritarianism, connecting the lessons of history to what's happening today. Our goal is to spark conversations, educate our neighbors, and remind our community that democracy depends on ordinary people who choose to act.
Whether you're a longtime activist or joining us for the first time, we'd love to have you.
