Significant Contacts at The Makers' Space
Bluebird Theatre Company present Significant Contacts, an intimate post-apocalyptic two-hander by Amanda Stamm, directed by Sean Szak Prasso, July 13-16 at The Makers' Space in Williamsburg.
After mass loss of life, sustenance, and water, Diana Winters lives alone in an underground shelter, painting, tending dried flowers, and preserving what beauty she can. When a wounded soldier collapses in what used to be her driveway, she brings him inside and treats his wounds. But the first significant contact she has had in years may be a lifeline, a threat, or something much worse.
Darkly funny, tense, and emotionally sharp, Significant Contacts is about survival, trust, autonomy, and the strange things people preserve when every system has failed.
