Sign Painting Workshop
Come join us for a fun and hands-on 2 day sign painting workshop! We'll be meeting in person at 6956 N Figueroa St on August 08, 2026 at 11:00 AM (Pacific Time) and August 09, 2026 at 11:00 AM (Pacific Time). Whether you're a beginner or just want to brush up on your skills, this is a great chance to get creative and learn some cool techniques. Hope to see you there!
Day 1 will consist of tool discussions, lettering fundamentals, and demonstrations to learn how to use sign painter lettering quills, mahl stick and painters palette. We will also practice single stroke letter formation by referencing a casual letter style example.
Day 2 will emphasize design principles and layout to create a hand painted poster.
All tools and materials will be provided and participants will leave with their own lettering quill, handouts, zines, and painted poster.
