Sighthound Life Skills & Recall Class | 4-Week Specialised Course
About this Event
Finally, a group training class designed specifically for the unique minds and instincts of Sighthounds!
Whether you share your home with a Whippet, Greyhound, Lurcher, Italian Greyhound, Saluki, or mix, you already know sighthounds aren't like other dogs. They are sensitive, fast, sight-driven, and require a gentle, reward-based approach that works *with* their instincts, not against them. Led by award-winning dog trainer Vanessa Bsirsky, this 4-week course focuses on the specific real-world challenges sighthound owners face every day.
What We’ll Cover in This 4-Week Course
Understand what drives your dog and learn practical management tools for squirrels, cats, and fast-moving distractions.
- Sighthound Recall: Build a reliable, high-value recall tailored to dogs built for speed.
- Calm Settling & On-Leash Chill: Teach your "zero-to-sixty" companion how to relax calmly in busy or novel environments. • Managing Scavenging Habits: Prevent counter-surfing and street-snacking with reliable "Leave It" and "Drop" cues.
