Sig Wilder is back with his full band! Together with Mads, Sofia and Tessa we are excited to announce the forthcoming full-length album, Cowboy Practice.
Experience the musical talents of Sig Wilder & Friends, Lee Stuart, and Barney Johnson & band as they come together to create a warm and captivating atmosphere. + Sig Wilder & Friends is Mads, Sofia, Tessa, & Sig—Wellington's alt-country group delivering a blend of heartfelt storytelling, timeless melodies, and a touch of down-home grit that captures the essence of Americana and resonates with audiences across distant shores. Sig Wilder & Friends delivers an unforgettable experience of song and story that transcends borders.
+ Lee Stuart (Ngāti Pū, Ngāti Rangitihi) is a New Zealand artist blending Soul, RnB, and Garage influences. Raised off-grid and now reclaiming te reo Māori, her 2024 debut EP explores grief, resilience, and rebirth. Inspired by Prince and Sade, Lee’s music reflects her journey from corporate life back to nature.
+ Barney Johnson is indie-rock singer songwriter who has the beauty of a band to back him up in this live setting. They are: Matthew Campbell, Cameron Robertson and Josh Dominikovich - all of whom can be seen and heard in a wide range of situations in the Wellington music scene. Barney’s music is expressed through his yearning for the open air of the country he grew up with whilst navigating the metropolis he now finds himself in. Out of the burbs and over the hill we go.
The first 15 show tickets sold come with a free raffle ticket! Vogelmorn Upstairs is not a wheelchair accessible building. There is an accessible bathroom in the space. This is an all ages venue but those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a designated adult after 8pm. The Vogelmorn Precinct is a community space located in a residential area. With that in mind, the team ask that you be kind to others' and that when you leave the gig, you do so quietly to avoid disturbing our neighbours.”
