SC Florida, the Suwannee St. Johns group, and the NE Sierra Club group are co-hosting a beach outing & Social May 11th from 9:30-2:00 pm, at the Anastasia State Park.
We invite all nature lovers and community-based organizations to join us.
Let us get to know each other and build a community of nature lovers in North/North East Florida and find opportunities to collaborate to explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth, to practice and promote the responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources, and to educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment.
9:30-10:30
Bring your beach gear and set up at the beach (Park Entrance is $8/vehicle for up to 8 passengers, $4/vehicle with one occupant, and $2 for pedestrians and bicyclists)
10:30 am: Sea Turtle Pavillion
Sierra Club Welcome
11:00 am: Beach hangout
Beachtime/Hikes/Hang out
Bring your favorite beach games or sand toys. We are here to hang out and relax.
The park also has a couple of easy hiking trails, and offers kayak & paddle board rentals. You can participate in these activities.
12:00: Pavilion
Lunch is served.
We will provide sandwiches, and Iced Tea. Please RSVP in the link below to order your sandwich.
We invite you to bring a side to share if you'd like, the sign up sheet for that is also in the link.
