Clara’s Bio: "She’s a songwriter of haunting melodies which skate just to the romantic side of edgy, on which sit direct, socially resonant lyrics, and under which pulses deeply soulful playing.” Vancouver’s Clara Shandler performs under the moniker Sidewalk Cellist. She's performed on three continents, her music has been featured in films and has been performed by small ensembles and orchestras, she's collaborated with dancers, poets and theatre productions to create memorable experiences, and is releasing her fourth full-length album on September 29th, 2024. Join us at 2nd Floor Gastown on October 6th to hear the full album performed live, plus original compositions by Roisin Adams, some jazz tunes, and a few surprises!
Roisin’s Bio: Róisín Adams’ visionary work combines ethereal, textured melodicism with an underpinning of intellectual rigor. An imaginative and prolific composer, pianist, bandleader and educator, Adams is also an astute collaborator in a range of projects. She founded the improvisatory instrumental jazz quartet Hildegard’s Ghost in 2013, and also performs with contemporary electro-acoustic trio Beatings Are in the Body featuring Erika Angell and Peggy Lee.
Peter’s Bio: Peter completed a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance at the University of Cincinnati and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Music Education at the University of British Columbia. He plays cello, violin, piano, and a plethora of other instruments. As a dedicated instructor, he currently teaches cello, fixes instruments, conducts orchestras, and helps out in a variety of capacities at the St James Music Academy in Vancouver’s DTES.

The 2nd Floor Gastown offers Live Music DAILY, open during Dinner Service from 6:00pm to 10:00pm 7 days a week and 11:30am to 2:00pm Saturday & Sunday for Brunch. There are two sets offered for each show; reservations are for one set. Guests may seat for both sets depending on availability and manager discretion.
