Siddharth Ashokkumar:

Siddharth Ashokkumar has played the South Indian (Carnatic) violin for the last 19 years. He is a student of the Lalgudi Jayaraman style, learning from the founder’s key disciples – his son, Lalgudi Krishnan and Vittal Ramamurthy. Siddharth is the recipient of many awards from North American Indian music festivals and competitions and has had the privilege of performing internationally.

After finishing his undergraduate studies from the University of Pennsylvania, Siddharth continued to play and experiment with Indian classical music, including performing as part of a global fusion ensemble, Falsa, which combines ancient Sufi traditions with Spanish, Indian, and West African music.

Vinay Mallikaarjun:

Vinay Mallikaarjun has been playing Mridangam for the past eleven years. He had his initial training under Srinath Bala, and has been receiving further advanced training from Vidvan Neyveli Narayanan for the last few years. Vinay has accompanied several leading Carnatic artists on Mridangam and Kanjira, such as Sikkil Gurucharan, T. S. Sathyavathi, Kiranavali Vidyashankar, and several others.

Additionally, Vinay is a concert-level Carnatic vocalist, and has performed extensively in the USA and abroad. He is also an adept tabla artist, specializing in the accompaniment of bhajans and the adaption of tabla to Carnatic rhythm patterns.
