Recipe of the Siamese Katz cocktail: the inevitable classical-pop bouquet, the ambry aroma of jazz, a tangy touch of electro, exotic essences, cinematic perfumes, not to mention the adventurous and improvised fantasies.Siamese Katz was born in Bangkok in 2018 of the meeting between two European artists Arnaud Francelet and Frank Herrgott. Like the many influences and musical experiences of these two musicians/producers at the peak of their art, this collaboration gives birth to an adventurous and eclectic music: an alchemy of « classical-pop » melodies and harmonies supported by catchy rhythms on a background sometimes electro, sometimes cinematic. The playlist of Siamese Katz would certainly include such artists as: E.S.T., Chick Corea, Ennio Morricone, Ryuichi Sakamoto, The **, etc.
Faithful to the philosophy of jazz, which has always been renewed thanks to the influences and the mixing between all the musical currents, the Siamese Kats create a music that combines the flexibility of the improvisation with the exigency of sophisticated arrangements. Quincy Jones said : « The role of an artist is to find the sound that is not yet in the soundscape, ». The music of the Siamese Katz is a singular touch, a piece of the puzzle of this sound canvas that the Francelet-Herrgott duet offers to listeners in search of innovations and new experiences.
Arnaud Francelet was born in Switzerland. His love for music began in his early childhood. After studying at the Bass Institute of Technology in Los Angeles Arnaud Francelet works as a composer and double bassist in various formations (from duo to big band and classical to jazz ) He performs regularly in Europe, Brazil and Asia and is appreciated for his melodic and rhythmic playing.
Frank Herrgott is a French composer and pianist based in Bangkok, Thailand. His style is a highly personal alchemy of various musical genres that have influenced his artistic development: the harmonic richness of classical music, the sophisticated rhythms of jazz, the simplicity of popular melodies, the timbres of electronic music, and the soul of traditional music.
After beginning his training in France and then in the United States at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Frank started his music career in Paris in the early 2000s and collaborated with varius artists including names such as Koh Saxman, Toon Bodyslam, Jennifer Kim, Stamp, Burin Groove Rider, Boyd Kossiyabong, P’Kong, ETC., Two, and many others.
