*Red Ruth is the alter ego of Award winning comedian Suzy Bennett.

Born in the back of a taxi in the middle of the Tamar Bridge sometime backalong, eighties throwback and pasty purist ‘Red Ruth’ has recently become in demand as a host for various events after her debut at Boardmasters Festival 2024 as the Landlady of the Keg & Pasty pub and is now a regular feature at the festival.

She later hosted the Best Bar None Awards Plymouth and was described as ‘The Dolly Parton of Devon’.
In December 2024 Red Ruth made her pantomime debut playing the wicked stepmother/Landlady of The Dog Inn in ‘Ciderella’ at the Barbican Theatre which enjoyed sell out shows and rave reviews.
Red Ruth warmly welcomes all into her establishment but doesn’t stand for such nonsense as demanding a plate for your pasty or enquiring about olives or fancy cocktails.
