St. Peter's Youth Group will be serving our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Feast from 4:00pm to 6:45pm. Shrove Tuesday is celebrated on the day before Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent. It is traditionally a day of feasting and indulgence (think Mardi Gras and Fat Tuesday) before the fasting period of Lent. Pancakes are a popular food on Shrove Tuesday because they are a way to use up rich foods such as eggs, milk, and sugar before the fasting period.
