Shrove Tuesday is the day before we begin the Lenten season.
The name "Shrove Tuesday" is derived from the word "shrive", which means to confess and receive absolution. The name denotes a period of cleansing, wherein a person begins a time of fasting and self-sacrifice during the season of Lent.
Courthouse Community UMC will be having our Shrove Tuesday Pancake supper at IHOP!
