SHROOM SUNDAY 2022

Join us to celebrate UK Fungus Day 2022 with a joint event from the Friends of Pimp Hall Park and Nature Reserve & London Fungus Network. The programme will include:

• Guided mushroom walk & talk with Rewilding Mycology
• DIY mushroom cultivation masterclass by Fat Fox Mushrooms
• Clay mushroom making workshop (all ages) with Urban Forest
• Children’s arts and crafts with Walk The Loop
• Shroomy shnacks & beverages from Shroom Town
• Biosonification sound installation (ever wondered what a mushroom sounds like?)
• Self-guided nature trail

Booking

Families are welcome, including children under supervision; please book a ticket for each human to help us keep track of numbers!

Covid & staying safe

If you are feeling unwell for any reason, please stay on the safe side and stay at home. If you're unable to attend, please request a refund via Eventbrite, so we can make your ticket(s) available to others. This event will be held indoors and outdoors in line with relevant Covid guidance. If you are arriving by public transport, please consider using a face covering and hand sanitiser.

Travel and location

To find the Nature Reserve, follow the signs to the Recycling Centre via the side road off Kings Road and it's and it's at the bottom of the road past the Recyling Centre . E4 7HR. Google Maps.

Nearest station: Chingford Overground, 15-20 mins walk, or via local bus routes. There is no car parking available at the site, but parking is available on local streets.

Accessibility

The event will be accessible via a hard footpath and grassland, with some mild uneven ground. The site is accessible for buggies and wheelchairs.

Filming

We love mushrooms and from time to time take photos and videos of them (and humans) at our events for marketing purposes. If you would prefer not be included in filming at our events, please let us know.
