Update: It is with mixed feelings that we inform you that the 2024 Shriners All-Star Football Classic, being held at Bentley University in Waltham, MA is being postponed until Saturday Night, June 15th at 7:00 PM. (Pre-Game Festivities at 6:30 PM)
We understand that there may be a couple of players who will not be able to play in the Game on Saturday night, and it breaks our heart with all the time and effort they have invested for the Shriners Hospitals and the Transportation Fund. Although, the forecast for Friday evening calls for 90% downpours, Severe Thunderstorms, and the possibility of Damaging Winds and even Flooding. While we are fine with the rain, we in good conscious cannot put the Players, Coaches, Officials and Fans in harms way of Thunder and Lightning!
This decision has not been taken lightly, as there are many people involved and many moving parts, although, the most important factor is the Safety of all the Players, Coaches, Officials, ad Fans.
Each year the MHSFCA in connection with the Aleppo Shriners of Massachusetts, co-sponsor an Eastern Massachusetts All-Star Football Game. For the past 45 years, graduating high school seniors from the North and South area high schools have played the Shriners All-Star Football Classic.
All proceeds from the game are donated to the Shriners Hospital and the Transportation Fund in Boston and Springfield. The Aleppo Shriners and the MHSFCA is proud to have donated over one million dollars to this worthy charity.
