**Shrimp Olympic**s began as the home recording project of Austin Lombardo, and has since expanded into a 5 piece band, featuring Lombardo (guitar, vocals), Teagan DeVoe (violin, vocals), Mat Roberts (keyboard, percussion), Alex Graves (bass), and Stone Thompson (drums). The early Shrimps tapes followed in the tradition of home taping popsters such as R Stevie Moore, Daniel Johnston and Ween. Shrimp Olympics music often makes quick jumps between genres including psychedelic pop, country rock, jazz, noise experiments, progressive rock, baroque pop, etc.

Band lead Skyler Nowinski creates woozy, wah-wah drenched, relentlessly rhythmic party songs and weirdo pop grooves joined by Mariel Oliveira on synths, Dan Dukich on bass, Alana Horton on drums, and Jared Hemming on auxiliary percussion.
