The evening begins with live music that serenades you through the waterways of Amelia and Cumberland Islands on this two-hour river cruise. Enjoy passed canapés of smoked fish crostini with pickled onions, accompanied by a rosé wine.
Made with local, wild-caught, jumbo shrimp sautéed with wine, butter and fresh thyme, then served over Marsh Hen Mills Sea Island Blue and Jimmy Red corn grit cakes, this phenomenal cook continues to add elements of blistered baby heirloom tomatoes, shallots, and blue oyster mushrooms, and finally a perfected sausage Sawmill gravy. This hearty helping will be served with red, white, and rosé wines. The food will have you so mesmerized, you will barely notice twilight has moved in, with nature painting a spectacular sunset over the river.
The selected wines come from distinct areas of the California coastline. Wines from the North Coast are often referred to by their sub-regions like Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, Russian River, and Stags Leap. Cooling coastal breezes, refreshing fog, and crisp mountain air promote more even ripening of the grapes and contribute to the overall quality and character of the wine. Cline Viognier is from the North Coast, an area from San Francisco to Fort Bragg, while Qupé Syrah and Summerland Grenache Rosé are from the Central Coast.
