About this Event
Shrimp and grits is a staple in comfort cooking, and our resident soul food Maker, Chef Eric King will be joining us in the Maker Kitchen to lead this class on crafting the perfect plate of creamy grits and flavor-packed sauteed shrimp.
Chef Eric is the owner of Poppa's Cookbook, operating in ANC’s Accelerator Kitchen, and offers a variety of homemade comfort meals and catering. They're also honored to employ and provide opportunities for special needs adults who have aged out of traditional school programs through their nonprofit initiative, ABLE Allies.
Please be sure to wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes for working in the kitchen. Hair that is shoulder-length or longer needs to be tied back.
Parking is available in the lot on the East side of the center, as well as on the surrounding streets, Kalamazoo, Allen and Shepard.
