The Clearwater Police and Solid Waste departments join forces once again to keep our community safe. Police officers and solid waste workers will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, in the Countryside Mall parking lot, 27001 U.S. 19 N. near Whole Foods, to collect and shred documents with sensitive information for Clearwater residents.This community event is for personal use only; there is a limit of 10 boxes of materials to shred per vehicle. Documents are shredded on-site by a certified vendor, and the paper is recycled. In addition, Clearwater Police Department also will accept old, unused or expired prescription medications at the same time, as part of a nationwide Operation Medicine Cabinet. Do not bring needles, vapes and e-cigarettes; they will not be accepted.
