Our relaxed hour is perfect for visitors who prefer a calmer environment and would like to enjoy the museum without the hustle and bustle of the general public. We will lower sounds and sensory activities will be available for visitors to enjoy.Who is the Showtown Sensory Hour for?
These events are for our visitors with additional and/or sensory needs. Any age welcome, but tickets must be booked in advance.

Showtown Relaxed Hour is a monthly event - next event is happening on the 11th May, 2024.
Visitors will be free to explore the museum at their leisure. Your ticket includes the access event and a further one hour (10-11am) in the museum if desired.
Our learning space will provide a quiet zone for any visitors that need a break.
Please note, this is an event ticket and therefore will NOT work as an annual pass.
Gallery Highlights:
Visitors will be free to explore the whole museum, but each monthly session will highlight and celebrate a particular gallery. In that gallery, we will have audio descriptive and/or touch tours on offer and BSL interpretation.
On Saturday 11th May, the gallery highlight will be the Showtown Skyline.
Access: Wheelchair accessible via lifts, accessible toilets.
