Showcase came together in 2011, formed by Charles Darkim (Blend) and Laltanpuia Sailo (Blend), with a shared interest in sharing music and entertaining people. Individual band members have played in various bands: Mangyang Kichu (Fera & Highway 39), Immanuel Sanate (Nakhshatra), Laltanpuia Sailo (Blend), and Pankaj Bhuttan (Vishnu, Blend & Phunk). After several lineup changes, the band finally hit the stage in 2015, working under Hammer Talent (an entertainment management agency).
Showcase performs covers of popular music, ranging from old classics to well-loved modern hits, at various pub gigs, festivals, and corporate events. The band has also been working on original material simultaneously. They can be classified under the genres of rock, pop, jazz, and blues. One member has quoted, “As much as we enjoy playing music, we wish to share our experience with many.”
