Appellate advocate Steve Hirsch is Of Counsel to the law firm of Keker, Van Nest & Peters LLP. A graduate of Yale Law School, since 2016 he has been involved in numerous cases and research projects that seek to arrest democracy's slide into autocracy. In that connection he has assisted pro-democracy organizations including Protect Democracy, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, and States United Action, and has submitted amici briefs on behalf of leading constitutional and First Amendment scholars and practitioners, including Laurence Tribe, Erwin Chemerinsky, Martha Minow, Floyd Abrams, Bruce Ackerman, Lee Bollinger, and Geoffrey Stone.
