Should I Report To The Police?

Experiencing abuse, violence, harassment, or sexual assault can be overwhelming, and deciding whether to involve the police is often a difficult and deeply personal decision.

This free educational workshop will provide information about the reporting process, what happens when a report is made, and the legal options available to individuals who have experienced abuse or violence. Participants will gain a better understanding of their rights, available supports, and factors to consider when deciding whether reporting to police is the right choice for them.

The session will explore:

• Options available to individuals who choose not to report
• Common concerns and misconceptions about reporting
• Legal protections and support services available to survivors
• Resources for individuals experiencing abuse, violence, harassment, or sexual assault

The workshop will be delivered by Sara Sicherman of Justice Pathway, who will share practical legal information to help participants make informed decisions about their options and available supports. The presentation will include time for questions and discussion.
