Meet Your Guides! - Melissa & Erin
Melissa and Erin are two very skilled and passionate women creating a safe space and fun opportunity for folks to learn how to shoot a shotgun! Erin is one of the very few female waterfowl guides in the West, and Uncharted Outdoorswomen founder, Erin Crider. This clinic offers a unique opportunity for women to embrace the art of shotgun shooting and master the skills required to become successful and confident bird hunters. Our mission is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where women can come together to share their love for the great outdoors and develop their shooting prowess. Whether you are a seasoned hunter looking to sharpen your skills or a beginner eager to learn the ropes, Melissa and Erin's shotgun clinic caters to all experience levels.
Clays and 1 box of shells are included with your registration.
Part 1 - Classroom Style Learning
Part 2 - Clay/Trap Shooting, and we can venture to the sporting clay course too!
Highlights of Erin's Shotgun Clinic:
Expert Guidance: Erin and Melissa will be your expert guides throughout the clinic. With years of experience under their belts, they will share invaluable insights, tips, and tricks to elevate your shooting abilities and maximize your hunting potential. She will not talk over your head, but rather, meet you where you are at.
Safety First: Safety is our top priority. The girls will conduct a comprehensive safety briefing to ensure all participants understand the importance of safe firearm handling and shooting practices.
Fundamentals of Shotgun Shooting: If you are new to shotgun shooting, fear not! The girls will cover the basics, including gun handling, proper stance, sight alignment, barrel chokes, and trigger control. For those with experience, advanced techniques and refinements will be offered to enhance accuracy. The girls will have different types of shotguns for you to see and shoot if you'd like! Or you can rent a gun for $25 through Colorado Clays.
Customized Instruction: With small group sizes, they can personalize their instruction to cater to each participant's unique needs and skill level. You'll receive personalized feedback and attention to boost your progress.
Practice Sessions: Practice makes perfect! Engage in various shooting exercises and drills to refine your skills. From stationary targets to simulated hunting scenarios, the clinic provides a range of practical experiences to build your confidence.
Gear and Equipment: Learn about the essential gear and equipment needed for a successful bird hunting season. From shotguns and ammunition to hunting attire, they will cover everything you need to know.
Ethical Hunting Practices: Uncharted Outdoorswomen is committed to promoting responsible and ethical hunting. The girls will share the importance of conservation, respect for nature, and sustainable hunting practices.
