Shot Silk is a concert series dedicated to pairing existing classical music with newly commissioned pieces. By weaving old and new together it finds connections and differences between them, and invites us to appreciate both.
For this concert we are travelling to the renaissance, with works by William Byrd, Orlando Gibbons, Diego Ortiz, Maddalena Casulana, and more. The programme is completed by new music by Jaques Carroll-Leitao, Kassia Bailey, David Ford, and Emily Rae.
