Shorties - A Reading Series - February 2026

A roving reading series for any genre, brought in the form of an open mic. A nomadic home for those with a love of prose, poetry, stage, and song.

In the coldest month of the year, this will remain the most welcoming reading series in town.

We're usually not about naming "themes" for any particular reading. But with the current state of the nation, we're going to try something new. This month's suggested theme will be "Revolt."

revolt (noun): An act of protest or defiance; a movement or expression of vigorous dissent; refusal to submit to established custom and practice.

revolting (adjective): That evokes revulsion; repulsive, disgusting.

This theme is only a suggestion. Any piece will be more than welcome.

Readers, please arrive at 7 PM or before to signup for a reading slot. Eacher reader will have 5 minutes. If you hit 5 minutes, you'll be played off by harmonica.
