About the Authors

Noley Reid writes on the subjects of body, food, family, and dogs. The author of four books of fiction, her latest is the new short story collection Origami Dogs, from Pittsburgh powerhouse Autumn House Press. Origami Dogs is a themed collection of stories about women, men, and the many dogs who share their lives. It’s made Independent Book Review’s “30 Indie Books to Look Out for in 2023” and won Bronze in Feathered Quill Book Awards Animal Fiction Category. Reid’s novel Pretend We Are Lovely, out of Tin House Books, was an Oprah Magazine Editors’ Pick and Publishers Weekly Best of the Season. Her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in The Southern Review, The Rumpus, Meridian, Pithead Chapel, Split Lip Magazine, The Lily, Bustle, Tin House, Arts & Letters, and Los Angeles Review of Books.
