Short Pack Walks are Back and better than ever as we will be scheduling different days and times to accommodate more folk's busy schedules!Next Short Pack Walk is set for Wed, May 1st from 5-6pm at Mead's Quarry just past the main entrance of Ijams Nature Center!
This pack walk will not be as rugged or physical as our recent walks and will have easy access parking and easy walking terrain with plenty of fun activities for the pups.
Depending on interest levels, we may have two separate groups at this event:
* Group A will be moving and grooving through our favorite low-impact Quarry Loop where there are tons of agility and vertical place objects.
* Group B (if there's interest) will work on Impulse Control with Distractions, so be sure to bring a camp chair and place cot if you are interested in this, or ask your trainer to grab you a chair and cot.
There's also a chance that the group will want to split the trip between walking the loop and working on place stability, and we are certainly not opposed to hanging out longer to get more work in if there is interest. :D
The Quarries are clear for any dogs who want to hang out for a swim after the event.
Please keep the following things in mind:
* Ijams now has a $5 parking fee for all lots. We will pay your parking fee if you arrive before the group departs (be there are 4:45)
* Please keep your dog on a leash at all times for safety of the group as well as other visitors.
* Remember your poop bags and clean up as needed.... stepping in poop is NOT glamorous! Ha!
