Earl, the timid manager of the QuickCheck, has a problem—he needs to win the heart of Maybelline, the head cashier, before her old flame, now a country music star, returns from Nashville. With the help of a store full of quirky Southern characters, Earl sets out to find the courage to choose what’s right for him—and the love that may be waiting down the aisles.
The Road to Nashville (1997)
Determined that today will finally be the day, Hank Williams Hill sets out to leave his small South Georgia town for Nashville and pursue his dream of becoming a country singer. With the sheriff on his trail and resistance from family and his girlfriend, Hank races to grab his truck and guitar—hoping this time he can make it past the county line.
The program includes a Student Academy Award–winning film and an early appearance by Sam Beam (Iron & Wine).
Thomas Wade Jackson will be in attendance for the screening.
