About this Event
As part of the 7th Annual “All Things Food and Environment” SXSW Summit, Food Tank presents a special short film festival celebrating the stories, people, and ideas shaping the future of food and agriculture.
Held at the Farmstead at Barr Mansion, this one-hour cinematic experience brings together documentary storytelling, filmmaker conversations, and live discussions with farmers, producers, and food system leaders. Through powerful film clips and original documentaries, audiences will explore themes of land stewardship, regenerative agriculture, climate resilience, and the human stories at the heart of our food system.
Experience the world debut of Food Tank’s first-ever documentary short, Irish Farmers: A Love Story, and meet one of the farmer storytellers featured in the film.
The program features screenings and conversations connected to The Biggest Little Farm, America the Bountiful, Farm Hero, BBC StoryWorks’ Unearthing the Future: The Farmers’ Network, Food 2050, and more.
Presented in collaboration with American Farmland Trust and Common Table Creative, this gathering highlights storytelling as a catalyst for connection, inspiration, and action across food, farming, and environmental communities.
Part of the 7th Annual “All Things Food and Environment” SXSW Summit, presented by Food Tank in partnership with Organic Valley, the City of Austin, Huston-Tillotson University, and SXSW.
