Short Film Screenings Short Film Corner is a space to showcase the many short films being made in India. We bring works from diverse regions by filmmakers devising bold, new ways to experiment with form and technique. The screenings will be followed by an open dialogue between the filmmakers and the audience.
Anaar Daana
Hindi, Marwadi with English Subtitles (20 mins)
Guddal, a free spirited 5 year old, lives in her anvestral home with her younger brother Laddoo, and older sister Chinu. A nanny (Aaaya Didi) cares for them in the absence of their parents. Guddal orchestrates mischief with Laddoo, landing them in trouble and punishment. One day a sudden incident in the house brings a change in the atmosphere. The influx of strangers and unwanted guests in her idyllic world leaves her confused. Through coming of age narrative, Anaar Daana explores the essence of childhood amidst the darkest moments in life.
