Extend your study of art and examine the work of self-taught artist, Nellie Mae Rowe in the exhibition, Really Free: The Radical Art of Nellie Mae Rowe. Led by our Manager of Adult Programs, Kaylee Hobbs, this three-part program will focus on discussions around Nellie Mae Rowe’s work and life, exploring themes in her work such as her depictions of women and her experimentation with materials, including her recycling of cast-offs into her handmade dolls and dimensional drawings.
