Short Belly Dance course including Saiidi style

Fun, affordable Belly Dance classes held in the heart of Islington, London. These classes are suitable for Beginners, Improvers and all levels of fitness.

As well as learning the building blocks of Belly Dance including shimmys and undulations. We will put then put them to work and learn a short, vibrant choreography ( video available afterwards for self practice). Large mirrored studio and I provide hip belts. I dim the lights at the end of class for a short free style session at the end of class.

For this November block of classes the spotlight will be on Saiidi style. Hailing from Upper Egypt, this style has a bold earthy feel and a striking rhythm. I will bring along light practice cane and for use in class.

Belly Dance is a great low impact exercise form that improves balance, co-ordination, It It also tones the spine, hips, upper body, and arms and hands. It's also a wonderful release for creative, physical expression. This is a cultural dance which is connected to the wonderful, rich rhythms and melodies from around the Middle East.
