There is a certain magic in the air when Pujo arrives, the fragrance of dhunuchi wafting through the breeze, the reverberating beat of the dhaak, and the spirited naach that fills the streets with joy. For the Bangla Samaaj in Delhi, Durga Puja is not just a festival; it is a reunion of memories, traditions, and cultural pride.
This year, Tales of City launched its special Durga Puja Series, and its concluding chapter, Shoroter Shaaj: Dilli’r Durga Pujo Baithak, promises to be a heartfelt celebration in collaboration with Gully Labs at Panchsheel Park.
The evening will open with a special Baithak Jonno, blending storytelling, art, and music into an immersive cultural journey, led by Usha Chhabra.

About Qissa Go:
Usha Chhabra is a storyteller and award-winning author known for bringing narratives, traditions, and performances to life. A recipient of the Top Storytellers’ Award by the World HRD Congress and the Rex Karmaveer Award, she has led sessions at the World Book Fair, National Museum, Jaipur Literature Festival Outreach, Serendipity Arts Festival, and numerous cultural spaces across India. Her works, including Wah Tenali (2024) and Saat Rangon Wala Uphaar (2025), reflect her passion for storytelling that weaves literature, puppetry, and heritage into engaging experiences.
About Artist:
Ashish Ghosh is a children’s theatre activist, singer, performer, and storyteller whose work spans stage, film, and music. Trained in traditional Bengali music under Sachindranath Sen and in Rabindrasangeet by Jyotirindra Moitra and Sudhir Chanda, he has created acclaimed productions such as Homecoming and In Search of Ramprasad, inspired by the songs of Bengal’s saint poets. Beyond theatre and music, Ashish has also acted in several Hindi films, bringing his versatile artistry to diverse audiences.
