"Cities sink from the bottom up. Now you know."

Shorelines is a TACTICS presented work funded by the Canada Arts Council and the Ontario Arts Council.

It’s had a long development history, largely with Ottawa companies, and is now ready for a world-premiere. A 20-minute excerpt of the play was read as part of New Play Tuesday at the Undercurrents Festival in February 2017. Through funding from Canada Council, Mishka continued to develop the play as playwright-in-residence with Horseshoes & Hand Grenades Theatre. In 2018, two table workshops, including one at Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal took place. Following Mishka’s tenure as playwright-in-residence with Horseshoes & Hand Grenades (for two seasons: 2017-2018 and 2018-2019), a by-invitation workshop performance was held at the Great Canadian Theatre Company (GCTC) in November 2019. Shorelines will be published by Playwrights Canada Press in September 2023.
