Shoreline Sentinels of Great Salt Lake - Film Screening & Panel Discussion

Shoreline Sentinels of Great Salt Lake is a 17-minute film about Snowy Plovers that nest on the shore of Great Salt Lake.
About this Event

Great Salt Lake is home to the largest non-coastal
breeding population of western Snowy Plovers, but their nesting area overlaps with the most heavily used part of the lake. Shoreline Sentinels follows National Audubon Society and Tracy Aviary staff and volunteers as they study how recreation impacts the birds and calls attention to a species that most people don’t even realize exists at Great Salt Lake.

Panelists are Heidi Hoven, Ph.D., Director, National Audubon Society's Gillmor Sanctuary; Max Malmquist, Engagement Manager, National Audubon Society's Saline Lakes program; Angie Trumbo, Director of Conservation, Tracy Aviary.
