In honor of World Shorebirds Day, join all your favorite peeps at the Industrial Park Wetlands off of Providence Place Parkway. New and experienced birders are welcome as always! We should be able to see a variety of migrating shorebirds. There are 2 ways to enter Providence Place Parkway, from Newtown Pike (just past the I75 interchange) or from Russel Cave Road (northwest of the intersection with Faulkner Ave) We will meet on the side of the large building near Russel Cave Road.
This is an active construction site, so it does not have an official address. Please only visit this site on weekends when there is no construction and stay on the ridge above the wetland. Binoculars or scopes are helpful. Walking distance is minimal but the terrain is uneven in places. If it has rained within the previous day or so it can be muddy. Make sure to bring appropriate boots or old shoes if needed.
