Hands On Hartford’s Backpack Nutrition Program!
Hands On Hartford has many great programs that benefit economically challenged residents in the areas of food, housing, and health. One of these is the Backpack Nutrition Program.
Many kids in Hartford receive free lunch throughout the week at school, but struggle to find enough food to eat on the weekends. Through the Backpack Nutrition Program, backpacks containing four meals, drinks and snacks are distributed to children each Friday during the school year, plus weekly enhancements such as fresh fruit, nutrition resource information and school supplies.
During our shopping event, just mention at checkout that you are shopping to benefit the Backpack Nutrition Program, and 15% of your purchase will be donated to this deserving cause.
