Shop Talk Lately is a live show and community discussion series hosted by entrepreneur and cultural innovator Sebastian Jackson. Set in intimate theaters across the U.S., the series taps into barbershop culture to engage cultural icons and innovators in thought-provoking discussions. Each show blends entertainment and education with audience participation and inspiring stories that showcase how these icons overcome challenges to create cultural impact. Focused on empowering and uniting communities, particularly the Black community, ShopTalk highlights the barriers that cultural leaders break through, fostering inspiration and action in the audience.
Keith Powers (Featured Guest) is an American actor and model. He is best known for his roles as Tyree in the film Straight Outta Compton, Ronnie DeVoe in BET's miniseries The New Edition Story, and David in the Netflix film Uglies. Powers was also featured as Cameron in the Netflix film
Sebastian Jackson (Host) is a pioneering entrepreneur with over two decades of experience operating social enterprises. He is recognized as a global cultural innovator by the Salzburg Global Seminar for innovating the barbershop industry.
Sebastian founded and hosts Shop Talk, a community engagement series that connects diverse communities with local and global innovators in business, culture, and entertainment. In past years, this initiative has partnered with the NFL and Forbes, facilitating impactful conversations, bridging divides, and fostering collaboration.
He has shared his insights as a guest lecturer at Harvard Innovation Lab, Ross School of Business, and Stanford GSB. As an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Rock Ventures, he supported local entrepreneurship initiatives and drove economic growth in the city of Detroit.
Sebastian is a Techstars global accelerator alum and has also invested in and advised successful Black-founded high-growth startups. He holds a BA in Journalism from Wayne State University and continues to drive social and economic impact through his innovative ventures.

Management reserves the right to deny and refuse entry to or remove parties who may be deemed a distraction to other guests (including, without limitation, appearing intoxicated or not abiding by venue policies).
