‘Schoenenwinkel’ en ‘boerderij’ smelten samen tot een fictief familiebedrijf. Schoenen worden geteeld, geoogst, gebrandmerkt en verkocht, aardappelen zijn te ruilen tegen Buffalo’s. In burens eerste groepsvoorstelling voor de black box, voeren ze als een team én familie specifieke taken uit. Tussen muziektheater, beeldende performance en choreografie, blijven in de voorstelling vragen over familiebanden, afkomst en ideeën over arbeid, klasse en geld centraal staan. buren manoeuvreert zo tussen de lage-loonarbeider en de have-it-all fashionista, van een pre-industrieel tijdperk tot het laat-kapitalisme.

Le « magasin de chaussures » et la « ferme » fusionnent pour former une entreprise familiale fictive. Les chaussures sont cultivées, récoltées, marquées et vendues, les pommes de terre peuvent être échangées contre des Buffalo. Dans la première création à destination d’un groupe de buren pour une black box, s’opèrent des tâches spécifiques en tant qu'équipe et famille. Entre théâtre musical, performance visuelle et chorégraphie, le spectacle reste centré sur les questions des liens familiaux, des origines et des perceptions sur le travail, la classe sociale et l’argent. buren navigue ainsi entre l’ouvrier·ère travaillant à bas coût et la have-it-all fashionista, de l'ère préindustrielle au capitalisme tardif.

In buren’s first group performance for the black box, they perform specific tasks as a team and a family. Between music theatre, visual performance, and choreography, the performance centres questions about family ties, origins, and ideas about labour, class, and money. buren manoeuvre between the low-wage worker and the have-it-all fashionista, from the pre-industrial era to late capitalism.
