It's time for the Shoals Oktoberfest at Singin' River, and you know what that means... Dachshund Dash + Stein Games! We'll be enjoying gourmet hot dogs from The Wright Wiener and Singin' River craft beer for an evening filled with cheer!Do you have the fastest weenie in the Shoals? Put your pup to the test in this entertaining race of speed and intelligence with dachshunds running and weaving from one end of the track to the other. Weenies will run in heats of 3-5 with multiple prizes to be won. Registration begins at 3:30p with races beginning at 4:00p. Participants will be need two human companions (releaser + catcher).
Our Stein Games will consist of solo & team competitions to test your strength and endurance. In a simple game of Stein Hoisting, participants must hold a 1 liter glass stein filled with liquid and held straight with elbows locked. The longest time wins! In our Beer Tray Relay, teams of 2 must balance their tray across the track and through the hurdles. First team to make it down and back will win! Registration begins at 4:30p with games beginning at 5:00p.
Registration fee is $10 per event and will be donated directly to our local animal shelters.
