Shiya Strong's Five Summit Challenge

Please see below for event details & summit descriptions:

WE WILL MEET AT NORTH MOUNTAIN VISITOR CENTER @ 7AM

1) Shaw Butte (start @ 7am)- 4.2 miles out & back with 813 ft elevation gain- Parking available at North Mountain Visitor Center.

2) North Mountain (start @ approx. 9am)- 1.6 miles with 614 ft elevation gain- Parking available at North Mountain Visitor Center.

3) Shiya Rock via Stoney Mountains [Phoenix Preserve] (start @ approx. 10:30am)- 1.4 mile loop including summit; 430 ft elevation gain- Parking available at private residence.

4) Squaw Peak via summit trail (start @ approx. 12:30pm)- 2.4 mile out & back trail with 1,148 ft elevation gain- Parking at trailhead.

5) Camelback Mountain via Echo Canyon (start @ approx. 3:30pm)- 4.2 mile out & back with 1281 ft elevation gain- Parking at Echo Canyon trailhead (off of Tatum/Lincoln).

Summits have been strategically planned to reduce drive time and distance.

We will begin summit #1 at 7am sharp!

If five summits sounds a bit over the top (pun intended), you’re more than welcome to join for one or two summits.
