AnandaNatanam - An Ode to Mahakala: A Bharatanatyam Performance by Varsha Rajkumar In this captivating Bharatanatyam recital, Varsha Rajkumar will present AnandaNatanam - An Ode to Mahakala, a soulful exploration of Lord Shiva’s divine attributes through a traditional Margam format. The performance begins with the Ardhanarishvara Thatvam, symbolizing the unity of the masculine and feminine principles embodied by Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. This piece sets the stage for a journey into the glory and transcendence of Shiva. The central piece of the evening will be a Varnam, expressing the myriad facets of Lord Shiva—his cosmic dance (Ananda Tandava), his benevolence, and his role as the eternal destroyer and creator.
