This year, the UASBC's annual conference, Shipwrecks, asks the question: how did we get where we are now? British Columbia is the birthplace of an incredible variety of diving and diving technology. Our diving history is full of characters and communities who have explored the underwater world and pushed the limits of technology. Our daytime speakers will take you on a journey through the evolution of underwater exploration and industry in British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest. Longtime friend and supporter of the UASBC, James P. Delgado, will deliver this year's Woodward Lecture: Think Globally, Act Locally - the UASBC and the Evolution of Maritime Archaeology Over the Past Five Decades.
We will also have our live auction, generously sponsored by Thermocline Diving, Wilson Diving and Aqualung. Proceeds go directly to the UASBC and support the work carried out by our volunteers.
Come join us for a day of stories, education and community!
Tickets are $70 for the dinner and Woodward lecture and $45 for our day session.
Tickets are on sale NOW in the UASBC shop. Visit our website to learn more and buy your tickets.
