Ship Family Day 2025

Shippensburg University presents Ship Family Day 2024, dedicated to families and friends coming onto campus and experiencing Ship with their students. Please see below for the schedule of events!

9:30 AM – 11 AM: Ship Family Day Check-in Great Hall, Ceddia Union Building (CUB)

Pick up a schedule, map, ask questions, and get information about the day.

9:30 AM – 11 AM: Family T-Shirt Sale Great Hall, Ceddia Union Building(CUB)

Come purchase or pick up your pre-ordered Shippensburg t-shirt designed specifically for this day!

The design is at the bottom of this screen. Please note the shirt will be teal. For credit card sales, please purchase on this site by 10 A.M. on Friday, September 20. Only cash sales will be accepted on Ship Family Day.

9:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Welcome Families Residence Halls

Write letters to your students to be delivered during mid-terms. Visit with the staff of the building and enjoy welcome treats.

10 AM - 10:45 AM: Donuts with Deans and Department Chairs CUB First Floor

Grab a donut and great conversation while you mingle with our Academic Deans and Department Chairs. Feel free to ask them anything—and everything—about Ship.

10:30 AM - Ship Legacy Pinning Program CUB MPR

Be a part of a Ship tradition that honors the past and present and celebrates your family legacy at Ship! Shippensburg alumni parents, grandparents, and aunts/uncles of currently enrolled students are invited to attend a special Legacy Pinning Ceremony with the President and the Alumni Association Board of Directors to welcome current students into the Ship family.

11:00 AM - MSA: All Roads Lead Home Gilbert Hall 100

Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) is a home away from home for many Ship students. Gilbert is a diverse, student-centered place that builds leaders and scholars who are prepared to excel on a global stage. MSA invites families to become partners in their students’ journey. Become involved in the MSA Parent Partnership Program (PPP) and connect with other families, students, alumni, and staff. Our PPP theme is “If not us, then who? If not now, then when? (Congressman John Lewis).” This year, we are asking families to create panels for our annual “Quilt to Cover Us All,” a campus-wide initiative in collaboration with Diversity Week. It will be the first year we display a family quilt panel. Join us as we celebrate diversity and share our services with you.

Come tailgate with us before the football game begins. We’ll have refreshments and lawn games. Rain location: CUB MPR

Be a Shippensburg University Band Member for a Day registration:

Tickets can be purchased with cash on the day of the game from the ticket booths located at both entrances to Seth Grove Stadium. Tickets MUST be purchased at the stadium with cash ONLY. A Ticket Prices: Adults: $10, Senior Citizens (60+): $5, Students (Non-SU of school age): $5, SU Students with ID: Free, Children 5 and Under: Free.

4:00 PM - Dog Man the Musical Luhrs Performing Arts Center

Best buds George and Harold have been creating comics for years, but now that they’re in 5th grade, they figure it’s time to level up and write a musical based on their favorite character, Dog Man, the crime-biting sensation who is part dog, part man, and ALL HERO!!
